Forget It Trannies!
Young lady puts the lie to "transgenderism" with these photos.
Chromosomes and objective reality trump ALL delusions.
A is A ... A thing is a thing ...
Wishing will NOT make it anything other than what it actually is.
And certainly not make you into something you are not and NEVER will be.
Just sayin' ...

Another Piece of Resistance
Another Piece of Resistance
So you're leaving the local library branch and you spot a rack full of the "local free papers". Wanting some reading material while waiting for your order at the diner you're going to, you stop to pick up a publication or two ... Then you notice.
Yeah ... The usual bunch of left wing/pro homo or other than English language garbage catering to the "diverse" crowd coming to bless you with sharia and other "cultural" goodies.
Of course you turn your nose up and just walk away but ...
Take a copy ... or two ... or more ...
What!? You say? You don't want to read that stuff, why would you ...
You don't HAVE to read it ...
Just ...
Pitch it!
You're taking some pieces of their propaganda out of circulation so ...
So take a copy ... or two ... or more ...
If no one's looking ... TAKE THE WHOLE STACK!
And ... pitch it!
A word of warning howsomever. Some communities actually have ordinances against this sort of thing. Seems some folks actually do pitch the other sides' propaganda and the poor dears have fits over it. So ... be careful.
Again there will be those who will equate this with nazis burning books. So ... If you do this during the cold months and you happen to have a fireplace ... or you need to get the grill fired up for barbeque in summer ... these ragsheets make for great firestarter!
Oh yes ... Don't worry about some SJW (social justice weasel) calling you a nazi ... Doesn't hurt a bit.
And it's really fun when you answer, "And your point is?"
Of course be careful. They tend to get brave if there's more than one of them.
Have fun!

A Piece of Resistance
A Piece of Resistance
So you're in a thrift shop, Goodwill, dollar store whatever and you come across a book/movie dealing with subject matter that offends you. Like most, you'll turn up your nose and go your not so merry way. After all ... Not much you can do.
Right?
Wrong!
There is something you can do.
BUY IT!
What!? ... You say?
BUY IT!
And pitch it.
Isn't that kind of self defeating? Doesn't that put ones' money into the pockets of the enemy?
Not quite ... here's why.
With a thrift shop/used game/book store, the stuff is used. The original buyer already did the damage a "new" sale made. You're not putting dough in the hands of the degenerates who originally made/marketed the propaganda. It goes to the shop owner or in case of Goodwill or Salvation Army, to a good cause as well as keep the krap out of the hands of the impressionable.
As for those dollar and "close out" stores, these are the leavings that the original producers/marketers couldn't sell and were being taxed on (Our earstwhile government counts unsaleable inventory as "wealth".) and thus losing money. They sold at a loss to the discount stores. Up until a few years back, I really expanded my movie collection thanks to Big Lots and others of that kind.
A lot of people will buy stuff used or reduced that they wouldn't ordinarily buy top dollar or even discount. And, to coin a phrase: One mans' trash is another mans' absolute truth ... And in your case, poison.
Expensive you say? It's not like you're trying to buy up the stores' complete inventory of Bowling for Columbine at brand new suggested retailers prices. One or two discs/books at maybe three bucks each? How much is your freedom worth?
I can't remember how many times I disposed of copies of Bowling for Columbine (Michael Moores' anti-gun tirade.), Save the Last Dance (White ballerina falling for "Mistuh Hip Hop".), or Vera Drake (About a saintly back alley abortionist/baby killer in '40s/'50s London, England.). What I do know is I'm taking some of the enemys' propaganda out of circulation. If it helps to keep some fool from casting a vote to deprive you of your rights, or a stupid little white girl from making a ghastly mistake, or an unborn baby from getting snuffed, then it's worth it.
In the case of a movie, it's not a complete loss. Keep the case for any of those loose discs you may have. Reverse the slip label and write what you need on the blank side. You can always donate the cases to the local library.
Now some SJWs (social justice weasels) out there are gonna' compare this to Nazis burning books and escalate the non-equivalency to the Holocaust (©). Bullkrap! You bought it ... It's yours ... To do with whatever you want ... And like their opinion, you can pitch it where it belongs.

Charlie Daniels Open Letter to Congress: "You've Betrayed Your Country"
I am a proud American who believes that America has held - and still holds - a very sensitive and special place in the affairs of mankind on Planet Earth. I believe that America has been divinely blessed and protected in our two centuries plus of existence.
I believe that America has been a counter balance that has cancelled out a lot of tyranny, evil and conquest and, admittedly, we have made a lot of mistakes, but on balance we have exerted a certain Pax Americana in the international affairs of mankind.
It took a lot of old fashioned guts for the Continental Congress to stand up to the world's mightiest military and tell them that we demanded our independence, even at the peril of going up against a far superior force on land and sea with a ragtag army of untrained citizens, many who had to supply their own firearms.
It took courage above and beyond for Abraham Lincoln to push the country into a Civil War that he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt would divide this nation for decades.
It took guts to give the order for American troops to storm the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, straight into the face of artillery and machine gunfire, wave after wave being cut to ribbons by German shore emplacements.
The history of this nation is written in the blood and courage of men who stood in the face of overwhelming odds, politicians, soldiers, statesmen and ordinary citizens who sought to do the right thing regardless of the cost or the consequences.
Well, ladies and gentlemen of the United States Congress, it seems that that particular pen has run out of ink. The courageous politicians that once championed this nation have been replaced, for the most part, by a breed of milksop, politically correct, scared of their own shadow, pushover, pathetic excuses for public servants who are supposed to be representing a constituency of citizens who have to live with the circumstances of their timid folly.
You don't even have the courage to face down an out of control president, even when he makes a deal with the devil. Don't you bunch of timid capons even care what kind of world you're leaving to your children and grandchildren, not to even mention the rest of us? Are you really party partisans before you're parents and grandparents or even human beings?
Be honest with yourselves a minute, go into the bathroom and look in the mirror and ask the person you see this question.
"Do I really believe that Iran will not use the money we're releasing to them to finance terrorists to kill Americans, and, when, not if, but when, the Iranians develop their nuclear device, will they really use it against America and Israel?"
You can’t hide from the truthful answer to that question forever, an answer will be required of you one day.
You have allowed Obama to tilt the Supreme Court so far to the left that they're little more than a shameful extension of the Executive Branch.
You have talked for decades about the porous southern border but have done absolutely nothing about it.
You have allowed cities in this nation to declare themselves sanctuary cities where they protect the worst of the worst criminal aliens, American citizens paying an awful price for your silence.
You watch an impossible National Debt balloon completely out of control knowing full well that a day of reckoning is coming that will seriously curtail the quality of life for coming generations.
You allow corrupt government agencies like the IRS to run over the very people you are sworn to protect and allow the entitlement society to expand exponentially while you actually entertain the idea of raising taxes on those who still work and shoulder the burden.
You compose a third of the constitutionally mandated ruling system and you shirk your duty
and allow this nation to move a little closer to the edge every day.
and allow this nation to move a little closer to the edge every day.
I wish you bunch of sold-out, jaded, burned-out hacks would just go home and let some people who still have some vision and whose consciences haven't been seared past the point of reminding them when they're wrong take over and start to claw this nation back on to the path of sanity,
Your ratings are in the single digits, your morals are in the gutter, your minds are on self-preservation and somewhere along the way you traded your honor for political expediency.
You've violated your oaths, you've betrayed your country you've feathered your nests and you've sat on your hands while an imperial president has rubbed your noses in the dirt time after time.
You're no longer men, you're puppets, you're caricatures, jokes, a gaggle of fading prostitutes for sale to anybody who can do you a political favor.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
What do you think?
Pray for our troops and the peace of Jerusalem.
God Bless America

Starbuck: Lost in Castration
The following is an excerpt from an article by Dirk Benedict decrying the sad PC state of affairs in mass media science fiction and (I feel.) the way things are in the entertainment industry in general. The article, written in the early years of the last decade, is to me, even more topical now than then.
The whole article can be read here.

Starbuck: Lost in Castration (excerpt)
by
Dirk Benedict
There was a time – I know I was there – when men were men, women were women and sometimes a cigar was just a good smoke. But 40 years of feminism have taken their toll. The war against masculinity has been won. Everything has turned into its opposite, so that what was once flirting and smoking is now sexual harassment and criminal. And everyone is more lonely and miserable as a result.
Witness the "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica. It's bleak, miserable, despairing, angry and confused. Which is to say, it reflects, in microcosm, the complete change in the politics and mores of today's world as opposed to the world of yesterday. The world of Lorne Greene (Adama) and Fred Astaire (Starbuck's Poppa), and Dirk Benedict (Starbuck). I would guess Lorne is glad he's in that Big Bonanza in the sky and well out of it. Starbuck, alas, has not been so lucky. He's not been left to pass quietly into that trivial world of cancelled TV characters.
"Re-imagining", they call it. "un-imagining" is more accurate. To take what once was and twist it into what never was intended. So that a television show based on hope, spiritual faith, and family is unimagined and regurgitated as a show of despair, sexual violence and family dysfunction. To better reflect the times of ambiguous morality in which we live, one would assume. A show in which the aliens (Cylons) are justified in their desire to destroy our civilisation. One would assume. Indeed, let us not say who are the good guys and who are the bad. That is being "judgemental". And that kind of (simplistic) thinking went out with Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan and Katharine Hepburn and John Wayne and, well the original Battlestar Galactica.
In the bleak and miserable, "re-imagined" world of Battlestar Galactica, things are never that simple. Maybe the Cylons are not evil and alien but in fact enlightened and evolved? Let us not judge them so harshly. Maybe it is they who deserve to live and Adama, and his human ilk who deserves to die? And what a way to go! For the re- imagined terrorists (Cylons) are not mechanical robots void of soul, of sexuality, but rather humanoid six-foot-tall former lingerie models who f**k you to death. (Poor old Starbuck, you were imagined too early. Think of the fun you could have had `fighting' with these thong-clad aliens! In the spirit of such soft-core sci-fi porn I think a more re-imaginative title would have been F**cked by A Cylon. (Apologies to Touched by An Angel.)
One thing is certain. In the new un-imagined, re-imagined world of Battlestar Galactica everything is female driven. The male characters, from Adama on down, are confused, weak, and wracked with indecision while the female characters are decisive, bold, angry as hell, puffing cigars (gasp) and not about to take it any more.
One can quickly surmise what a problem the original Starbuck created for the re-imaginators. Starbuck was all charm and humour and flirting without an angry bone in his womanising body. Yes, he was definitely `female driven', but not in the politically correct ways of Re-imagined Television. What to do, wondered the Re-imaginators? Keep him as he was, with a twinkle in his eye, a stogie in his mouth, a girl in every galaxy? This could not be. He would stick out like, well like a jock strap in a drawer of thongs. Starbuck refused to be re-imagined. It became the Great Dilemma. How to have your Starbuck and delete him too?
The best minds in the world of un-imagination doubled their intake of Double Soy Lattes as they gathered in their smoke-free offices to curse the day this chauvinistic Viper Pilot was allowed to be. But never under estimate the power of the un-imaginative mind when it encounters an obstacle (character) it subconsciously loathes. "Re- inspiration" struck. Starbuck would go the way of most men in today's society. Starbuck would become "Stardoe". What the Suits of yesteryear had been incapable of doing to Starbuck 25 years ago was accomplished quicker than you can say orchiectomy. Much quicker. As in, "Frak! Gonads Gone!" And the word went out to all the Suits in all the smoke-free offices throughout the land of Un- imagination, "Starbuck is dead. Long live Stardoe!"
I'm not sure if a cigar in the mouth of Stardoe resonates in the same way it did in the mouth of Starbuck. Perhaps. Perhaps it "resonates" more. Perhaps that's the point. I'm not sure. What I am sure of is this…
Women are from Venus. Men are from Mars. Hamlet does not scan as Hamletta. Nor does Han Solo as Han Sally. Faceman is not the same as Facewoman. Nor does a Stardoe a Starbuck make. Men hand out cigars. Women `hand out' babies. And thus the world, for thousands of years, has gone round.

8 Things Liberals Do to Avoid an Honest Debate - Broken Down to a Science
8 Things Liberals Do to Avoid an Honest Debate - Broken Down to a Science
from
Internet Journal Review
We've all been there: Stuck in a hopelessly circular argument with a liberal who won’t get to the point, acknowledge basic facts even exist, or get past juvenile name-calling in debates. It can be really frustrating.
One thing people can do to fight back is just to code all the non-responses to logical or rational arguments. Cryptically flipping back “Give me a break with that number 5 nonsense” or “Man, number 3, again?” can really humiliate people whose stupidity is broken down to a science.
So with no further adieu, here is your Rosetta Stone of Liberal Rhetoric (and it can be done with less-than-bright members of other political persuasions).
1. Ad Hominem (Name-Calling aka “You’re a Racist!” etc.)
2. Distracting (aka “Pivoting” aka “Changing the Subject”)
3. Somebody Else Did It Before (aka Two Wrongs Make a Right)
4. Obama Doesn’t Know What’s Going On (Or Did I Do That?)
5. It’s a Far-Right Conspiracy (Or The Koch Brothers Did It).
6. You Heard That on Faux News
7. Argumentum Ad Misericordium (Or “Do it for the Children”)
8. It’s Bush’s Fault
Four years into the weakest recovery in U.S. history, it will always be Bush’s fault in the minds of liberals – even if Obama doubles and triples down on Bush deficits, declares wars without Congressional authorization, signs the Patriot Act by auto-pen, you name it – those things that liberals said they were opposed to under Bush are no longer attached to President Obama.
Sometimes, arguing with radicals seems like an exercise in futility. But remember, you’re not always arguing to change their minds, but the minds of rational people who are observing the debate.

Obama did NOT lie! It's NOT his Fault!
![]() |
| NOT TRUE! NOT TRUE! He's incapable of lying! |
Obama did NOT lie! It's NOT his Fault!
Yes, he DID say if you liked your policy, plan and doctor you could stick with them. Yes, he DID say your costs wouldn't increase one thin dime. Yes, he DID say you had nothing to worry about. Yes, he DID say those things ... AND HE WASN'T LYING! In fact, he was quite sincere when he said them. He meant everything he said AND STILL DOES.
You see, the problem lies not with the president but with YOU. You, who are not into politics (Left or right.) have little understanding how the politicians' mind works: Just because a politician says something is thus and so doesn't mean it actually is. Their minds work differently and YOU must take that into consideration.
YOUr problem lies in the fact that YOU were taught that words have EXACT meaning and that everyone is bound by the rules of definition and grammar: Yes means yes, no means no, up means up, on is the opposite of off, etc.
With politicians it's different. When one enters into the rarified, lofty realm of knowing what's best for others as well as themselves, things change. Not only do the rules of grammar not apply, but those of reality as well. Physicists and others of the hard sciences have delved into this problem for centuries and have so far come up with no answers. The best that can be done is to accept the "fact" that in the nth dimension of politics (One step beyond the outer limits of the twilight zone.), reality does not apply.
So it should come as no mystery as to why Mr. Obama and others say what they say and do what they do. When one trods into that singularity of moral grayness known as politics/government one is bound to be a mite off center and that what comes out of their mouths may not be quite the same as what's going on in their addled little heads.
To have "broadly interpreted" what he said at face value and believed it, is just downright narrow minded and selfish on your part. To believe you're entitled to the truth and nothing but the truth, so help you allah, is to have unrealistic expectations ... Expectations leading only to disappointment and perhaps misery. And the only one to blame is, not Mr. Obama and others but YOUrself! All he did was say something. YOU didn't HAVE to believe it, did you? No one forced you to, did they?
So don't be too hard on the poor little dears. It's not their fault you take them and Mr. Obama at their word. It's not their fault you believe words have meaning and actions have consequences.
You have no one to blame but YOUrself. THE FAULT LIES WITH YOU!
In the words of Otter from the film Animal House: "You f----d up ... YOU TRUSTED US!"
So get off YOUr high horse of righteous indignation and get back to work. These things need to be paid for and acting butt hurt doesn't help matters any ...

Things Fall Apart. The Center Does Not Hold.
Things Fall Apart. The Center Does Not Hold.
by
Weatherly Hardy
The 'Vark's Spleen, She Is Vented.
This is an opinion piece. Please to note that no harm is wished upon anyone. It merely examines cultural change in my lifetime. It should be read in the context of my extant writing, opinions, and clear motivators, as well as in the setting of my life as you know me to be. That I see a need for this preamble is a more strident indictment of our society and culture than it is a flag about my stated opinions below.
-------------------------------------------
Things Fall Apart. The Center Does Not Hold.
Nothing is the same anymore. Candy bars do not taste right. Baby Ruth tastes like Payday with chocolate and a soupçon of industrial waste. Tattoos and piercings, formerly the decoration of the Lower Classes, have now become Chic and Trendy (although if Dear Leader continues his work, the Chic and Trendy will become the lower class). Love of country was de rigueur, now it is aberrant and atavistic. Aberration itself is the New Normal. Joe Haldeman's The Forever War deals with a soldier who goes on multiple missions to space wars on board vessels that travel at relativistic speeds. He doesn't age, but generations pass on earth, and with them, the cultural distinctives of those generations. Eventually he comes back to an Earth where homosexuality predominates, and his preference for women earns him the moniker "The Old Queer".
I know somewhat how he felt. I live in a culture that has given up sane standards of behavior, and has jettisoned consistency. I come from a time when there was the Correct, and there was the Aberrant. The Aberrant was viewed as alien, mistrusted, and often ridiculed. What a difference a couple of generations (and PR.) makes. What was once villified as the Sin Not to be Named has become a Civic Virtue, and Normal. A decades-long public relations campaign has paid off. For as long as, the homosexual, the mincing, lisping fageler, has been a mainstay of funmaking. Practically every country ridicules homosexual activity and 'lifestyle.' Anime series often have a homosexual character displaying unrequited feelings for the main character for comic relief. We know 'what ain't quite right,' and humor reveals it. As to cultural inconsistency, our alleged science-mad society completely ignores the Darwinist and Gouldian evolutionary dogmas to accept homosexuality as anything other than what those very dogmas would maintain: that homosexual behavior is an evolutionary dead-end, and should be avoided for The Good of the Human Race.
What has brought us here? Only a massive and universal PR campaign to render three-to-five percent of the population as fit for human society. Not merely fit, but lionized. What is a tiny minority of the body politic has become a great mouth, a whine machine demanding that all of Western culture be bent to the minority's will. This is ultimately where democracy fails: it is not the quantity, it is the decibels, and bruvvah, they have been loud. They have invented rights where none before existed, and in so doing diminished the rights of the majority. Where new "rights" are invented, new mechanisms must be developed to administer those rights, and the price tag for such instrumentality is borne by the majority through taxation. "What will equal marriage rights do? How will they affect you?"
In the Bottom Line.
Now let it not be assumed that I am some throwback crank with an 'anti' axe to grind. I've paid my dues. I've lived amongst them. My father was a homosexual (he pauses, waiting for the inevitable stupid comment like "Well, you're here....") Let's say that I was the result of a foray into an alternative lifestyle. By living in such company, I harbor no illusions about homosexual behavior. I have seen the crudity and demeaning nature of "the lifestyle", and have been pawed as a teen by "friends" of my father. There is nothing better for your self-esteem than to see one's father's exploits on the high school bathroom wall. I have a good number of friends who are homosexual, and they tend to be the crudest people of my acquaintance. I say this not to point the bony finger of indignation, but to give the lie to the high pretensions of those who most loudly promote the homosexual agenda.
On the flip side, I must say that I am live-and-let-live. I do not enthrall all of my reader with tales of The Sensuous 'Vark. The Dread Dormomoo's and my connubial deliberations are off-limits. Please make your private practises Not My Business. I do not participate in Straight Pride Parades. I DO poke fun at "End The Silence" days, because, really, hasn't it been rabbited on about for decades, now? I recognise that the anti-bully message is largely "don't bully effeminate boys". But neither do I throw stones, or insult them, or militate against the marching minority. Please, just leave me alone. Keep your hands to yourself, especially, hands off my wallet.

Why I Would Not Join the Military Today
Why I Would Not Join the Military Today
Written on Monday, October 21, 2013 by David L. Goetsch for patriotupdate.com.
I have counseled hundreds of young men to join the various branches of the military, helped dozens secure ROTC slots at various colleges and universities, and assisted several in gaining military academy slots. However, I have begun to question the advisability of providing this kind of assistance. How can I in good conscience recommend that young men pursue a military career or even enlist in the military when I would no longer do so myself? How can I look a young man in the eye and recommend that he knowingly and willingly put his life on the line in an era when he will be expected to regularly violate his most deeply-held religious and personal beliefs? How can I ask a young man to follow the orders of politically correct officers who are more concerned about protecting their careers than their men? How can I recommend that a young man put his life in the hands of a president and a Congress that do not respect him or the military? The answer to all of these questions is one I never thought I would utter: I can’t.
The above is the concluding paragraph to an article at patriotupdate.com.
The rest of the article here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my own estimation, a country bent on suicide (Collectivism, feminism, homosexuality, abortion/infanticide.) and forcing you to subsidize it as well as drag you down with it is one not worthy of ones' loyalty. To serve in a military that brands you a terrorist for being a Christian and/or a conservative is beyond foolish.

Voter ID Be Racis'!
![]() |
| Gee ... Allowing ONLY those actually qualified to vote really could change the political landscape! |
Voter ID Be Racis'!
To require someone to show ID before voting is NOT racist. If so, why do those white folks at the tables in the polling place ask for mine before I vote? I'm WHITE(!)er than a cracker.
Is the "charge" of racism to the above somehow a tacit admission that a good many illegal voters are not exactly what one would think of in regard to the "Aryan Ideal"?
Just sayin' ...
Oh! Typing "racist" part way in the labels section of the Blogger posting software brings up Traci Lords. Interesting ...

The Capitalism/Socialism Non-Difference
by
Jay Agan
For many years we have been fooled. Fooled with a lie still being used to manipulate us into being good little servers of the system. That lie is the so-called difference between capitalism & socialism.
Difference? I sure don't see it. I do see, not only similarity, but compatability. Several in fact. They are:
1. Both capitalism and socialism view the universe & explain everything in terms of economics and materialism. "Intangibles" such as family, friends, race, ethnic identity, nation, individuality, spirituality have no meaning unless they can be exploited somehow for economic gain or power.
2. Both deal with the individual as part of an artificial collective. With socialism it's "the brotherhood of man ", the community, society, "for the children" , whatever the "cause" they're for or whatever they're calling the hive mind this week. With capitalism it's the corporation, the team, the board, the company, etc. Such terms are used by those for scoring talking points, pushing agendas & controlling individuals.
Collectives aren't living, breathing entities. They have no mind of their own & do not act volitionally.
3. Both put the rights of the artificial collective above that of the individual.
4. Both look upon the individual as part of a rescource pool. Something to be used then tossed away. The term "human rescources" is something of an indictment.
5. Both use the individual as a statistic, an economic unit. An entry in a ledger to be added, subtracted, multiplied, divided, fractionalized, decimalized, atomized, then ultimately isolated & tossed away.
6. To either, a living, breathing human being is only an object, a thing. Having no value except to that of the artificial collective. To be used in a manner suitable to furthering that collective. To be discarded when no longer useful.
I do make a distinction between capitalism & free enterprise. Free enterprise involves the TRADITIONAL employer/employee relationship. This is where the employee trades his time, skill, experience etc. for whatever pay/benefits agreed upon. The employer can only demand a good job done & NOTHING MORE.
In the traditional employer/employee relationship neither demands anything beyond that. If the employer does go over that line it's capitalism. If the employee, it's socialism.
Capitalism? Socialism? I care for neither. From my perspective I have found capitalism to be more of a menace to me than socialism. I have lived in a capitalist country all my life and have have been treated shabbily by such a system. I do not doubt for one moment that socialism is no less a danger. It's that I have been on the sharp end of a capitalist system and draw my experience from that. After all, no socialist has ever:
1. Lied to me about my wages then shorted me.
2. Layed me off then say I was fired or quit when I tried to collect unemployment benefits.
3. Tried to monopolize my time. (Mandatory overtime, etc.)
4. Spied on me at work, written me up for political incorrectness, thus denying me advancement or having me fired.
5. Demand submission to drug testing, flu shots, no smoking pledges and other forms of privacy invasion as a condition for employment.
6. Report me to government agencies (INS,etc. I was born here damnit!) as to my place of employment.
7. Tried to coerce me into doing something illegal that could put me in danger of arrest.
8. Lie about benefits.
9. Lie about a crippling injury occuring at work thus denying the validity of claim.
10. Tried to coerce me to work in unsafe working conditions.
These were done to me by capitalists. Socialists I do not like, or ever shall, but I'm under no illusions as to the "sanctity" of capitalism, or the oft proclaimed benevolence/benefits thereof. Anyone who does me an injury is my enemy, left or right.

Kiddies These Days ...
Kiddies These Days ...
Remember when one could discipline their kid in front of God & everybody & didn't have to worry about "intervention"? Y'know, some nosey hyena stepping in & threatening to report you for child abuse? After all, the child is only expressing himself & stopping him from his "performance art" would only serve to traumatize the little jerk. Well the little fool should get traumatized!
I would love to hear/read about some clown getting punched out for stepping into something that's none of his/her concern. If the kid is "acting out", it's no business of mine to keep a parent from disciplining a future would be Jeffrey Dahmer.
I've manned a cash register off & on over the years & I've seen some real kiddie meltdowns. I didn't think it was possible for a kid to have a stroke until I got into the "service industry"!
I recollect an amusing little incident while working at a not to be mentioned would be Wal-Mart. A lady came through my checkout line with a rather unruly little monster. She grabbed "sweetums", draped him over her arm & used her free hand to give junior a swat on the posterior. She then remembered they were in a public place & gave me a fearful look thinking I would "report" her or something. I immediately gave her a thumbs up & a smile. The relieved expression on her face was more than evident.
It's really sad one has to look over ones' shoulder when it comes to anything family related anymore. But then, it's been 1984 a long time now.

"Reviewing" Movies Not Seen
"Reviewing" Movies Not Seen
by
Jay Agan
It's easy. Especially from a negative stand point. After all, you know what you don't like better than what you do. If a film is about something(s) you don't care for, then you know right off the bat the flick stinks.
For instance. To me, all musicals are crud. How do I know this, especially in light of the fact I've never seen the vast majority of them? Easy. Nothing ticks me off more than when a story comes to a slamming stop & the "actors" go into a 10+ minute song & dance. So what if the music, coreography, etc. are great? The story's been put abruptly on hold & I have to wait for the grand mal to pass. Get on with the movie for cryin out loud! I swear. If they subtracted the howling & hoofing, most musicals would be less than half an hour. I exaggerate, but it sure feels that way. I avoid musicals like AIDS & ebola.
Any film, of a subject matter &/or "message" I don't care for, is one I probably won't like & will not bother to look at. This way, I know a flick is garbage from the start & won't waste my time. I guess that makes me closed minded & lazy. Life is too short for "broadening my horizons". Too many "good" films are out there to see without drek getting in the way.
Take Avatar, for instance. I've not seen it, have no intention doing so. I know it's one I won't care for. How so?
1. Reading the reviews (pro & con, mostly pro) gave warning as to what a pretentious pile of PC it is.
2. It's been done before. I've seen Return of the Jedi. Dances With Wolves is in my collection, the Ewoks win again (yawn). "Revisionist westerns" aren't my thing.
3. The previews make it out to be another cgi lightshow (cue the oohs & aahs).
4. I'm really getting tired of that blue goon smugly leering at me from the dvd shelves at the stores.
One does not have to see a film in order to make an informed descision. Getting enough info from the warning signs, one does not have to drive into the river to know the bridge is out.
